Hello -
I’m Malik, a designer and photographer based in Silver Spring, MD.  My work engages culture, community, and limitlessness with bold graphics and an animated vocabulary. My design process starts with research and writing, followed by iterative typographic and image-making explorations that  synthesize my findings. In contrast, my photography practice is intuitive and natural, balancing methodologies to tell stories, save the moment, and create form.

BWR is a podcast and safe space for black women to discuss current events. In each episode, the host, Mel, unpacks a theme or topic with other Black women who have relevant professional and personal experiences.
